Venable (back) is out of the lineup Friday against the Diamondbacks. A back strain, suffered during Wednesday's game, will keep Venable from Friday's tilt and it's uncertain whether he'll be available in any capacity Saturday. Cameron Maybin will draw the start in center field with both Venable and Abraham Almonte (soreness) ailing.
