Rodriguez (back) threw a 30-pitch bullpen session on Wednesday and felt no ill effects, JP Hoornstra of the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin reports. He'll throw to live hitters this weekend, and could return Sunday or shortly thereafter. Rodriguez is hoping to be part of the playoff roster, though that may be a longshot at this point.
