Lester picked up his 14th win of the season Tuesday against the White Sox, pitching eight innings and allowing just two runs on seven hits and two walks, while striking out eight. Lester has more than done his job for the A's after they acquired him from the Red Sox prior to the trade deadline. He has posted a quality start in his first eight starts with the A's. Lester has a stellar 2.52 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 199:42 K:BB in 199.2 innings this year. His next start is scheduled for Sunday on the road against the Mariners.
