Chen worked six scoreless innings Friday night against Rays, surrendering just four hits and three walks while striking out three. Though the Orioles' bullpen squandered the effort, Chen came up with another solid performance Friday night. The 29-year-old lefty has been a steady presence in the Baltimore rotation this season, especially during the last few weeks. Dating back to July 24, a span of eight starts, he has gone 4-1 while posting a 2.60 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 40:12 K:BB ratio across 52 innings. Chen is next scheduled to take the mound Wednesday in Boston.
