Garza (oblique) will not need a rehab assignment, and will instead pitch a simulated game Friday and join the rotation at a date that has yet to be determined, MLB.com's Adam McCalvy reports. It's possible that the Brewers are still trying to decide internally which starter will get bumped from the rotation to make way for Garza. Assuming that either Mike Fiers or Jimmy Nelson will be the one to move out of the rotation, Garza could join the rotation either Thursday or Saturday of next week.
