Phelps (eblow) is scheduled to play catch again on Thursday and will throw off a mound this week, MLB.com reports. "I think at this stage, we're going day by day," Phelps said. "We'll hopefully amp it up when we get through this week. I took two weeks off, it's not like I'll be on the mound this weekend." The team decided earlier in the week that Phelps will return as a reliever, so once he returns to a mound, he should be able to speed up his recovery.
