We are in a 4 player keeper league and the question of trading a draft pick comes up. In other leagues, like ESPN, the 1st 4 draft rounds would be used up on your keepers and the 1st round would actually happen in the 5th round so we trade the 5th round pick to get the 1st pick in that years DRAFT.
But in FF it looks like the last 4 rounds are used on the keepers.
I want to get last years last place teams 1st pick so I am trying to determine if I ask him for his "1st round" or "5th round" pick from him?
The keepers are irrelevant to the draft picks. The players marked as keepers are ineligible to be drafted and are assigned to the teams that marked them as keepers. Flea doesn't use rounds for keepers like other formats(this is a good thing). When you start your draft, the keepers are already on your team and the draft starts with the first pick in the draft order. So if you want to trade for the very first pick in the draft, you add the first round pick to your trade request. Hope this helps.
