Falcons coach Mike Smith hinted Wednesday that he intends to stick with a run-first approach on offense going forward. Atlanta beat Carolina convincingly in Week 6 with 35 rushing attempts compared to 22 passes, which is an almost prehistoric run-to-pass ratio in this day and age. "We were able to establish that last week. Mike (Turner) did a great job. Our offensive line did a great job," said Smith. "It really helps an offense when you have the ability to do both and play-action off that run game. It was good for us last week and hopefully we'll be able to establish that run again this week." It's good news for Turner, but not especially promising for Matt Ryan and his corps of pass catchers.
