Roy Helu played 31 snaps in Sunday's loss to the Dolphins, eight more than starter Ryan Torain.
Helu played on all third downs in the first half and then every down in the fourth quarter as the Redskins tried to mount a comeback. He averaged 6.0 yards per touch compared to 2.1 for Torain. If coach Mike Shanahan properly evaluates the tape, he'll reinstall Helu as his every-down back for Week 11.
i think shanahan just likes to mess with his own players minds, torain goes out has 140 td some recieving yards then next week not starting team loses,then helu's star shines with a good performance. next week not starting...even with his QBs ..i'm not to high on rex but this beck guy ...I think Shanahan has got to go now!!!!! Shan has to turn the Rb spot over to Helu. Torain looked slow and was very in effective last week. Helu had 6 Yd Per touch. If I'm Helu I can't wait to move on first chance I get!
