Matt Ryan (ankle) said Tuesday he could have practiced this week if the Falcons weren't on a bye. Ryan has been walking with a boot since Sunday and is in no danger of missing Week 9. It's a huge sigh of relief for the Falcons considering how awkwardly his ankle was bent during last week's win over the Lions. Ryan, who has just nine touchdowns against eight interceptions through seven games, can now focus on getting the passing game going.
