Mark Sanchez completed 27-of-43 passes for a career high 369 passing yards with two touchdowns and an interception in a Week 3 loss to the Raiders, 34-24. Sanchez also scrambled twice for two yards, one of which was for a touchdown. It became clear early that the only way the Jets were going to stay competitive was if they took to the air, and Sanchez responded, tearing through an Oakland secondary that was missing it's top safety and second best cornerback. His first touchdown came on a screen pass to LaDainian Tomlinson; the second was a perfectly thrown strike to Plaxico Burress. More of the same could be on tap in Week 4, as the Ravens run defense will force the Jets to keep the ball in the air.
