ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms that Mario Williams indeed has a torn pectoral muscle. Schefter says that Williams is sidelined indefinitely, "if not for the remainder of the season." This is the same injury that kept pass rushers like Elvis Dumervil out for the entire 2010 season and Michael Strahan out of the 2004 season. The loss is significant enough to downgrade the Texans' fantasy defense going forward. Backup Brooks Reed is incapable of generating the same kind of quarterback pressure Williams was getting.
