Kennedy (lower body) will rejoin the lineup Thursday against the Panthers, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kennedy was expected to play Thursday, and that is indeed the case after missing four straight contests because of the issue. While the veteran has tallied 14 points in 46 games this season, it's hardly enough to keep him in consideration for fantasy leagues, so his return will likely go unnoticed for the most part.

Kennedy (lower body) won't play Friday against the Capitals, Rich Chere of the Newark Star-Ledger reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kennedy has now missed back-to-back games with a lower-body injury he sustained in Sunday's matchup with Columbus, and remains without a definitive timetable for his return to action. Those keeping tabs on Kennedy's availability can expect an update on the 29-year-old winger's status once he's able to resume skating.

Kennedy (lower body) will not travel with the team to Pittsburgh on Thursday, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kennedy exited Tuesday's contest with the lower-body issue, and it appears ti will require some added recovery time. Joe Blandisi took his place on the top line during Wednesday's practice session, and appears the likely candidate to grab the spot Thursday as well while Kennedy will now aim to return Friday against the Capitals

Kennedy left Sunday's game against Columbus with a lower body injury, Rich Chere of the Newark Star-Ledger reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kennedy left in the second period and was considered questionable to return, but he never made it back into the contest. He's been unusually productive of late, recording five points over his previous three games before Sunday. Kennedy will have four days to recover before the next game, as the Devils don't play again until Thursday.

Kennedy was a driving force behind the New Jersey offense Thursday, racking up three assists and a plus-2 rating in a 7-4 win over Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
He helped out on Devante Smith-Pelly's goal in the game's first minute, which got the Devils started on their best offensive output of the year. Kennedy's uncommonly warm right now, having put together five points over the course of a three-game streak. Don't count on it to continue.

Kennedy finally scored his first goal of the season Tuesday, opening the scoring in a 6-3 loss to Philadelphia with a power-play tally.
EDGE Analysis
Perhaps not coincidentally, Kennedy also enjoyed a season-high 19:18 of ice time -- solidly three minutes more than he's averaged this year. With a mere seven points to show for 31 games, Kennedy still doesn't merit fantasy consideration in the overwhelming majority of formats, but it's worth monitoring his minutes in the coming days to evaluate whether this game was a fluke.

Kennedy (upper body) was on the ice for warm-ups Friday, but will not play against the Bruins, Rich Chere of the Star-Ledger reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kennedy didn't play in Wednesday's game because of the upper-body issue, and it will hold him out Friday as well. The winger's next chance to play now comes Sunday against the Wild.

Kennedy (upper body) is out Tuesday against the Canadiens.
EDGE Analysis
The nature of Kennedy's ailment is unclear, as there was no indication that the 29-year-old winger was in danger of missing Wednesday's contest until he was announced as a last-minute scratch a few minutes before puck drop. Expect an update on his status ahead of Friday's matchup with Boston.

Kennedy picked up his first two points with New Jersey -- a pair of assists -- in Thursday's 5-1 win against the Hurricanes.
EDGE Analysis
Kennedy also played a season-high 15:39 and finished plus-1 in his fourth game with the Devils since signing a one-year deal last Friday. He was bumped down to the fourth line after starting on the third, but still managed to get plenty of ice time. It's unclear if Kennedy will get this much playing time consistently, but he's worth monitoring.
