Tyler Johnson is two goals shy of tying Steven Stamkos' rookie team record. Stamkos scored 23 goals in his first campaign during the 2008-09 season. "When I come into a season, I don't try to think about goals and assist totals or anything like that," Johnson said. "I'm just trying to play and be a contributing factor to the team winning games. Whether it's points or blocking shots or playing on the penalty kill, whatever it entails. But it's been a pretty good year. I've had some luck playing with some pretty great players. It's been fun." He's slated to play on the wing with Stamkos and Alex Killorn on Saturday night.

Tyler Johnson is playing on a line with Steven Stamkos and Alex Killorn. At least for now they are. The Bolts are going to ice the following other scoring units against New Jersey Saturday night: Ondrej Palat-Valteri Filppula-Ryan Callahan and Teddy Purcell-Taylor Pyatt-Richard Panik. Johnson and Killorn benefit greatly from this alignment as they will get first-line minutes with Stamkos. Palat and Filppula have looked great together on the second line alongside Callahan. The big loser in all of this is Purcell, who will play with Pyatt and Panik, two players not known for the offensive abilites. Adjust your roster accordingly.
