Brouwer (face) will be evaluated on a day-to-day basis moving forward, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
Brouwer, who remains on injured reserve, almost assuredly will miss Saturday's contest against the Panthers, but it would surprise us if he doesn't return by the end of the month. The 32-year-old winger has compiled 15 points (three goals, 12 assists) through 54 games this season.

Brouwer (face) was placed on injured reserve Monday.
The move was made retroactively to Feb. 8 and his status remains week-to-week. Due to a suspected groin injury, netminder Mike Smith was ruled out of Tuesday's game against Boston, so the Flames placed Brouwer on the injured list in order to create the necessary roster space for recalling goaltender Jon Gillies from the AHL. Calgary can be expected to provide updates on Brouwer's condition as it improves and he nears a return to the lineup.

Brouwer is week-to-week with a facial fracture, Kristen Anderson of The Calgary Herald reports.
Brouwer will be able to return to practice in a few days, but he'll need the fractures to heal fully before he can take contact. The 32-year-old winger has averaged just 13:38 of ice time through 54 games this season, compiling three goals, 15 points and 51 PIM. His physical presence will be replaced by either Curtis Lazar or Ryan Lomberg for the time being.

Brouwer recorded an assist through 14:49 of ice time during Thursday's 5-1 win over Tampa Bay.
The veteran winger has collected just three goals, 11 points and 43 shots through 43 contests this season, and he's only averaging 13:01 of ice time per contest. As a result, Brouwer shouldn't be relied on in most fantasy settings. It would likely take a promotion to a top-six role for him to take a step forward, and even then, it's unlikely Brouwer's production climbs significantly.

Brouwer collected an assist in Sunday's win over Vancouver.
Brouwer has offered some decent fantasy contributions recently. The veteran forward was tagged for 17 PIM on Saturday against Nashville and has racked up two goals and four points in his last eight games. Unfortunately, the fourth-liner has had a tough season overall and doesn't offer much outside his 44 PIM and lackluster nine points. He's seeing some power-play time right now, but don't expect much, as Brouwer's best offensive days are likely behind him.

Brouwer recorded an assist through 12:53 of ice time (1:10 with the man advantage) during Tuesday's 4-1 loss to Toronto.
The helper was just the fifth point of the season for Brouwer, and he's still looking for his first goal of the campaign. Needless to say, it's been a swift fall from fantasy relevance over the past few seasons for the veteran. With a fourth-line role and rare power-play opportunities, it's probably best to steer clear of Brouwer in the majority of settings at this stage of the game.

Brouwer failed to record a point for the six consecutive game during Sunday's 5-4 win over New Jersey.
The veteran has just two assists through 14 games, and it's a discouraging start after he posted his lowest point total (25) since establishing himself as an NHL regular during the 2008-09 campaign. Brouwer is receiving some power-play time (1:45 per contest), but he's also being utilized in a foruth-line role at even strength, so he's not in a favorable fantasy setup. It's probably best to leave the 32-year-old winger on the waiver wire in the majority of seasonal settings.

Brouwer registered an assist in Saturday's win over the Canucks.
Brouwer's fantasy value has been declining ever since he was designated to a fourth-line role, but it's good to seem him make a contribution. The 32-year-old has hit 20 goals on several occasions in his career, but his ice time has taken a hit in Calgary and he no longer sees power-play time, making him worth owning in only the deepest of fantasy formats.

Brouwer will be exposed to the Golden Knights in the upcoming expansion draft, Eric Francis of Sportsnet reports.
The alternate captain does have a modified no-trade clause in his contract, with two years remaining on the deal at $4.5 million. If Brouwer ends up in a Golden Knights sweater, the Vegas team will benefit from the winger's versatility and special teams acumen. This past season -- his first with Calgary -- Brouwer added 13 goals, 12 assists and 171 hits in 74 games.

Brouwer finished the 2016-17 campaign with only 13 goals and 25 points.
The 31-year-old regressed in his debut in Alberta, as his goal, assist and point totals were all his lowest since his rookie season in 2008-09 with Chicago. Brouwer wasn't able to hold down the plum role on the team's top line next to studs Sean Monahan and Johnny Gaudreau as many forecasted he would, but instead spent most of the year in the bottom six while averaging his lowest amount of ice time (16:13) since 2010-11. It's also worth mentioning that his 86 shots on goal were a career low, so his fantasy outlook heading into 2017-18 remains murky at best.
