Richard Park has inked a two-year deal with the Swiss League's HC Ambri Piotta. The 36-year-old was a free agent whom the Penguins would never have offered a two-year contract to, according to Shelly Anderson of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Park had seven goals and 14 points last season and was regarded as a solid penalty killer.

Richard Park will hit the free agent market on Sunday. The soon-to-be unrestricted free agent did not receive an acceptable offer from the Penguins to entice him to stay in Pittsburgh. Park has no fantasy value as he does not have any offensive ability to speak of nor does he accumulate penalty minutes.

Richard Park didn't play on Monday because of an unspecified injury. He appeared to be favoring his right leg after blocking a shot in the final seconds of regulation in Saturday's win over Carolina. Park was listed as game-time decision, which suggests the ailment is minor in nature. Consider him day-to-day.

Richard Park is pointless in his last 10 games. Park got off to a solid start this season, but he now has six points in 19 games. Factoring in that he hasn't played in every Penguins contest, he's currently on pace to record 22 points this season. We could see him bouncing back and doing a bit better than that, but not much. With that in mind, Park should only be owned in the deepest of leagues.
