Berglund (shoulder) will travel with the team during their three-game trip through western Canada, but will not play, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

The 6-foot-4 center has yet to play this season after undergoing shoulder surgery this offseason. While Berglund won't play on the road trip, his presence could mean that his return may come sooner than expected. The Blues are currently leading the Western Conference standings and will just get deeper and more dangerous with Berlund's return.

Berglund (shoulder) added some additional passing, shooting and stickhandling drills to his normal skating routine Tuesday, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

Berglund has yet to make his 2017-18 debut, but appears to be trending in the right direction after adding some additional work to his conditioning. There has been no indication that the center is ahead of schedule, so for now, fantasy owners will likely have to wait until December, per his original time frame to return.

Berglund (shoulder) continues to rehab his surgically repaired shoulder, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

EDGE Analysis

Berglund has now had surgery on both shoulders -- which should hopefully put this issue behind him when he is ready to suit up in December. The center -- who suffered the injury in a training accident -- figures to be a key contributor once he is given the all clear. Whether fantasy owners want to risk stashing him away for that long will likely be determined by the quality of the rest of their roster.

Berglund is expected to be out of the lineup until December after undergoing surgery to fix a dislocated shoulder.

EDGE Analysis

Berglund was injured in a training accident while preparing for the upcoming season and will now miss the first two months of the 2017-18 campaign. The 29-year-old was one of the Blues' three ironmen last year who played in all 82 games. In those appearances, the center tallied a career high 23 goals, including five game winners. Without Berglund, St. Louis will have to turn to the recently acquired Oskar Sundqvist to step up.

Berglund scored the Blues' first goal and assisted on an empty-netter in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Coyotes.

EDGE Analysis

The goal was Berglund's 22nd, tying his career high set in 2010. He's the Blues' most dangerous secondary scoring threat and is second on the team in goals behind only Vladimir Tarasenko.

Berglund netted a pair of goals with a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's game against the Avalanche.

EDGE Analysis

Berglund's first marker was his 20th of the season. It is the third 20-goal campaign of his NHL career, and first since the 2010-11 season. He had slowed a bit over the past 14 games, netting just two goals, but he equaled that in Tuesday's victory. Berglund remains useful as a depth player in pools of 12 or more teams.

Berglund signed a five-year, $19.25 million contract extension with the Blues on Friday, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

EDGE Analysis

Blues fan or not, you've got to admire Berglund's loyalty to the St. Louis organization -- he's been with the Notes since they took him 25th overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, and Mike Yeo -- who recently succeeded Ken Hitchcock as head coach after the latter was fired -- evidently is a big fan of the veteran pivot, who has collected 17 goals in 60 games this season. "When you think about Bergy being physical, when you think about him controlling pucks in the offensive zone, getting to the net, these are things that make him extremely difficult to defend and I think he's doing that very consistently right now," Yeo said.

Berglund recorded a hat trick in a 4-2 victory over the Canadiens on Saturday.

EDGE Analysis

The center has been red hot this month, scoring six goals in the past five games. He had six goals in all of January and just 11 scores the entire season before February. On Saturday, he scored on every shot he took, including one on the empty net late in the third. Berglund has 17 goals and 24 points this season.

Berglund scored a goal on a team-high five shots and added three hits over 19:57 of ice time in Thursday's 2-1 overtime win against Toronto.

EDGE Analysis

The goal was his third in the past four games and continues a scoring uptick that began mid-December. Berglund, who had one goal in the season's first 30 games, has potted 13 over the last 25.

Berglund scored a goal on three shots with three hits, two takeaways and a blocked shot over 17:41 of ice time in St. Louis' 6-4 loss to Ottawa on Tuesday.

EDGE Analysis

Berglund, who also won 12 of 21 faceoffs, was playing his 600th career NHL game, all with the Blues. At one point this season, when the big Swede had just one goal through 30 games, it didn't look like he'd last until his 600th game, but he's been one of the hotter forwards in the league of late. Since then, he's scored 10 goals over 15 games (35.7 shooting percentage), including three in the last two games.
