Grabovski was traded to the Vegas Golden Knights on Wednesday, TSN's Bob McKenzie reports.

EDGE Analysis

Grabovski, who carries a $5 million dollar cap hit for next season, missed all of the 2016-17 season due to concussion issues. The Islanders are sending a boatload of assets Vegas' way including their first round pick (15th overall) in Friday's Entry Draft. Grabovski's NHL career is likely over.

Grabovski (concussion) could be part of a trade that would send him to the Golden Knights, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.

EDGE Analysis

Grabovski missed all of last season due to the concussion and some believe that his career has ended as he has still yet to be cleared to play. This trade would likely also include the Islanders first-round pick in this year's draft. This year's draft is considered to be rather weak so the Isles seem to be more than willing to part with the pick as long as they can clear some salary cap space which they would do as Grabovski is set to count $5 million versus the cap in the last year of his contract this season.

Grabovski (concussion) missed the entire 2016-17 campaign, but he remains hopeful that he will get past his injury, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.

EDGE Analysis

The German-born pivot reportedly resumed isolated skates during the second half of this season, so there still may be light at the end of the tunnel. When you consider that the 33-year-old posted more than 40 points in three of five campaigns with the Maple Leafs between 2009-13, it might be worth taking a flier on Grabovski in deeper fantasy drafts this fall. Even if he's a shell of his former self upon returning, the cost to get him is likely to be extremely low.

Grabovski (concussion) is expected to see a specialist in the near future with the hope of being cleared to play next season, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.

EDGE Analysis

After this season Grabovski will only have one year left on his contract. He would have to be cleared in order for the Islanders to buy him out or expose him to the expansion draft. Grabovski has been a bust since signing with the Isles as he has suffered multiple concussions. If he is cleared to play and the Isles don't buy him out he could end up as the third line center next season or in the AHL.

Grabovski (concussion) failed his physical and is officially listed as injured non roster.

EDGE Analysis

Grabovski's salary still counts toward the cap but he will continue to sit as he recovers from a concussion dating back to last season. The issue is certainly concerning given the length of recovery up to this point, so it may be best to monitor the centerman throughout camp if considering him in fantasy leagues.

Grabovski (concussion) was placed on injured reserve Monday, The Score reports.

EDGE Analysis

Grabovski's career has been marred by injuries, as he's barely averaged 53 games in 10 years of service time between the Habs, Leafs, Capitals and Islanders. Specifically, the 32-year-old skater from East Germany has sustained three concussions over the past two campaigns, so it's no surprise to learn that he failed to obtain medical clearance for training camp with the Isles. It's a shame that injuries are ruining Grabovski's career; he's a proven playmaker with three seasons of 45-plus points on his resume.

Grabovski (concussion) has not been medically cleared for training camp, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.

EDGE Analysis

Grabovski has suffered three concussions over the past two seasons, and is still dealing with symptoms stemming from those injuries ahead of the 2016-17 campaign. The 32-year-old forward is clearly still a long way from returning to game action, as he has yet to be cleared to resume skating, and may not be able to return to practice until after the Islanders' regular-season schedule gets underway Oct. 13 against the Rangers. Owners keeping an eye on Grabovski's health can expect an update on the German forward's status once he's cleared to skate.

Grabovski (concussion) is unlikely to be medically cleared for training camp Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.

EDGE Analysis

Grabovski was spotted at IceWorks on Friday working out in the gym but didn't take to the ice. He will likely be placed on long term IR by the Islanders before the season starts.

Grabovski (concussion) may not play another game for the Islanders, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.

EDGE Analysis

Grabovski has now missed significant portions of the last two seasons due to concussions. Even if he reports to training camp in September medically cleared and ready to play he may have a difficult time cracking the starting lineup and could also be a candidate to be sent to the AHL so that the team could remove his $5 million salary from the cap.

Grabovksi (upper body) has resumed skating, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.

EDGE Analysis

Grabovski has missed 16 of the past 17 games due to injury and has generally been a big fat bust since signing with the Islanders before the 2014-15 season. He only had nine goals in 51 games last season, the same total in 58 games this year, not exactly what the Isles expected when they signed him to a four-year $20 million contract.
