Hossa picked up a goal and an assist on the power play in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to Vancouver.
EDGE Analysis
Despite missing the previous two games with a lower-body injury, Hossa was the only Blackhawk that didn't look out of sorts on the power play. His team's 2-for-7 effort with the extra man was a major reason for why they lost this contest despite holding a 44-15 advantage in shots. Hossa's 18:27 of ice time was the most he has received since Jan. 10, suggesting the Slovakian veteran is playing with no restrictions.

Hossa (lower body) will return to the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Canucks, NHL.com's Brian Hedger reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hossa has missed the Blackhawks' last two games due to a lower-body ailment, but his injury was never believed to be overly serious, so he shouldn't have any limitations against Vancouver. The veteran winger will return to a bottom-six role Tuesday, skating with Marcus Kruger and Ryan Hartman on Chicago's third line, but he should also see time on the man advantage as a member of the 'Hawks second power-play unit. Hossa has been a solid point producer for Chicago this season, notching 22 goals and 17 assists in 64 contests, making him a strong bench option in most fantasy formats.

Hossa (lower body) was present for morning skate Tuesday, Tracey Myers of CSN Chicago reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's great to see the veteran on the ice ahead of the evening's contest against the Cancuks. We're still waiting for official word that he'll be out there, but this is obviously a positive development. Hossa has turned the clock back some, as he's tied with Artem Anisimov for the third-most goals (22) on a team chock-full of offensive weapons.

Hossa (lower body) did not take the ice for pregame warmups, making him unlikely to play Sunday's game against Colorado, Brian Hedger of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The initial reports seemed to indicate that Hossa would go Sunday but at 38 years old, Hossa could use the day off anyway considering the impending playoff run. Tomas Jurco is projected to take Hossa's place on the third line Sunday.

Hossa (lower body) is likely to return from a one-game absence for Sunday's game against the Avalanche, Tracey Myers of CSN Chicago reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wary fantasy owners will want to make sure that Hossa skates in warmups, but all signs point to his return coming Sunday against a hapless Colorado squad. The veteran winger has notched just two points in his last eight contests, but has taken a healthy 21 shots on goal during that span, giving him additional upside in a potent Chicago offense.

Hossa (lower body) won't play Saturday against Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
Hossa's lower-body ailment reportedly isn't serious and he hasn't been ruled out of Sunday's meeting with Colorado yet, but at this juncture he should be considered questionable at best for that contest. Dennis Rasmussen or Tomas Jurco will likely slide into the Slovakian winger's spot in the Blackhawks' lineup against the Maple Leafs.

Hossa was blanked on five shot attempts in Thursday's 1-0 home loss to the Ducks.
EDGE Analysis
The Blackhawks may be one of the leading teams in the Western Conference, but they've actually gone scoreless is five games this campaign. Hossa had his fair share of chances in this most recent contest, but ended up stretching his goalless skid to seven games while making it four straight without a point. Still, he's at 37 points (21 goals, 16 assists) and rocking a career high 15.3 shooting percentage, so it's tough to complain about the stalwart's overall production this year.

Hossa scored the game-winning goal with just 1:26 remaining to beat Boston on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
It was the only goal of the game and the 17th tally of the campaign for the veteran winger. However, it was also Hossa's first goal in 10 outings, as he's starting to show signs of slowing down offensively. Additionally, the 37-year-old winger has been skating down the depth chart more frequently and doesn't roll with the No. 1 power-play unit. If you cashed in on his great start, it might be time to consider dealing Hossa before the bottom falls out.

Hossa posted three assists with a plus-4 in Tuesday's 6-4 win at Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
Hossa had managed just two assists with a minus-4 in six games since returning from an upper-body injury. It was his first multi-point game since Dec. 6, and just his fifth performance with two or more points this season. The veteran is on target for around 50 points, which is a far cry from his days in Ottawa and Atlanta when he routinely reached the 80-point plateau. Still, he remains a useful fantasy forward in most formats.

Hossa (upper body) will suit up against Buffalo on Thursday, Mark Lazerus of the Chicago Sun Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hossa will return to the ice after a five-game absence during which the Hawks went 1-3-1 and scored a disappointing eight goals. While the veteran is unlikely to single-handedly turn the team around, his ability to create time and space for himself and put the puck on his linemates stick can't be overstated. With Hossa cleared to play, Jordin Tootoo is the leading candidate to drop from the game-day roster.
