Gaborik will be eligible for Vegas to pick up in the upcoming expansion draft, John Hoven of Sirius XM reports.

EDGE Analysis

If you rake in a $4.875 million salary, you're usually expected to also rack up more than 21 points in 56 games. Of course, injuries have been a problem for the 35-year-old, but this decision was at the very least, an easy one. Vegas doesn't have many other talented, reasonably-priced options from Los Angeles, so there is a high possibility of a deal happening before the draft takes place.

Gaborik underwent a procedure that will hold him out through at least part of training camp, Helene Elliott of the Los Angeles Times reports.

EDGE Analysis

The veteran winger hasn't supplied much in either of his last two seasons for the Kings, playing no more than 56 games over that span. His 2017-18 campaign won't start on a good note, but general manager Rob Blake indicated Monday that the team isn't considering buying Gaborik's contract out. He reportedly played hurt during 2016-17 and will be given an opportunity to get back on track next season. Considering the deal lasts for another four seasons, the Kings certainly hope he can turn things around despite entering next season at 35 years of age.

Gaborik recorded two assists during Wednesday's win over Calgary, after he was a healthy scratch against Edmonton on Tuesday.

EDGE Analysis

Don't overreact to the multi-point showing, as Gaborik has just 22 goals and 43 points through 106 games over the past two seasons. The 35-year-old veteran doesn't move the offensive needle like he did in his prime, and with only eight points -- four goals -- over his past 23 games, you'll want to aim higher in the majority of fantasy settings.

Gaborik is a candidate to be a healthy scratch Tuesday against the Oilers, Jon Rosen of LA Kings Insider reports.

EDGE Analysis

Gaborik, who has been a healthy scratch twice this season, checks in with 10 goals and 19 points in 51 games to date, numbers that reflect the fact that the 35-year-old's days as a high-end goal-scorer are behind him.

Gaborik scored a goal and chipped in an assist in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win over Nashville.

EDGE Analysis

Both points came on the power play, giving the 25-year-old a pair of two-point games with three goose eggs in between. Gaborik only has 17 points in 43 contests this season, so he's a tough sell in most formats, but it might be worth watching if his assignment next to Anze Kopitar and Jarome Iginla on the team's top line continues to bear fantasy fruit.

Gaborik scored a goal and added an assist during Monday's overtime loss to Minnesota.

EDGE Analysis

Following a nine-game point drought, Gaborik was a healthy scratch against Anaheim on Saturday. While it's certainly a positive to see him respond with his first multi-point game of the year, it also has to be frustrating for fantasy owners and the organization. Between injuries and inconsistent production, Gaborik should be left to the waiver wire in the majority of seasonal leagues. He's still an intriguing flier in daily contests because of his upside, though.

Gaborik was listed as a healthy scratch for Saturday's game against the Ducks, LA Kings Insider reports.

EDGE Analysis

The team is reportedly looking to deal the veteran before the trade deadline. However, Gaborik is 35 years old and has four years left on his contract so it might not be terribly easy to move him. He is scoreless over his past nine games and he has just 13 points on the season. At this point he is only worth a look in deeper fantasy pools until he starts to show some consistency. Perhaps a change of scenery will get him back on track.

Gaborik recorded a goal, three shots on net and a minor penalty with a plus-2 rating during Wednesday's win over Colorado.

EDGE Analysis

With five goals, nine points, 33 shots and a plus-6 rating through his past 12 games, Gaborik is rounding into fantasy form. The veteran is well past his prime but still offers enough scoring upside to warrant attention in plenty of seasonal settings. Additionally, he's currently presenting nice value is daily contests.

Gaborik dished out two helpers Thursday against St. Louis.

EDGE Analysis

Gaborik assisted on goals by Trevor Lewis and Jake Muzzin in what was an easy 5-1 win. The 34-year-old forward was awfully quiet besides that, though, skating just 13:24 without a shot. He has a mere seven points in 20 games.

Gaborik, who has just one goal in his last 12 games, skated on the team's top line during Tuesday's practice, the Los Angeles Times reports.

EDGE Analysis

Before you get too excited it should be noted that his two linemates, Anze Kopitar (three goals in 29 games) and Dustin Brown (four goals in 32 games), are both mired in scoring slumps of their own but the Kings are hoping the veteran trio can hep spark on another.
