Hayes finished with two assists and fired a game-high six shots on net in a 7-3 loss to the Jets on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Hayes' only other multi-point performance of the 2019-20 season came Oct. 26, so Sunday's outing was a rare breed. He's failed to score in six straight, despite attempting 17 shots, and owns a minus-5 rating over his past three contests.

Hayes posted a minus-3 rating with four shots on net in a 3-1 loss to the Avalanche on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
That drops his rating to minus-6, which is the lowest mark of his career. Hayes has been heating up in the scoring department lately, though, as he has four goals and eight points in the last 11 contests. Overall, Hayes has eight goals, 15 points and 73 shots on net in 31 games this season.

Hayes picked up an assist and posted a minus-1 rating with one shot on goal in a 5-2 loss against the Panthers on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The assist broke a 10-game pointless streak for Hayes, who's been really disappointing for owners through the first quarter of 2019-20. The 15 goals he's on pace for isn't awful, but Hayes is on track for just 31 points, which would be a new career low and 24 points fewer than last season. He has four goals and eight points with a minus-9 rating and 54 shots on net in 21 games this season.

Hayes scored the game-winning goal on a short-handed breakaway and added two even-strength assists in Saturday's 7-4 win over the Blue Jackets.
EDGE Analysis
All three of his points came in the final 10 minutes of the third period, when Philly scored five unanswered goals to erase a 4-2 deficit. Hayes only had three points, all goals, in eight games coming into Saturday, but he does now have a modest three-game point streak on the go.

Hayes scored on his only shot of the game in Thursday's 4-1 win over Chicago.
EDGE Analysis
Hayes beat Chicago goalie Robin Lehner on a breakaway early in the third period to put the Flyers ahead 3-1. It was the second goal in as many games for the first-year Flyer, who had just one goal in his first six games. The 27-year-old signed a seven-year, $50 million contract with Philadelphia in the offseason after scoring 19 goals and 55 points with the Jets and Rangers in 2018-19.

Hayes has one goal and no assists with a minus-4 rating in six games to begin his career with the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
Things just aren't clicking for the Flyers top line, which includes the newcomer Hayes. The entire offense has struggled lately too. Since scoring four goals in each of the first two games of the season, the Flyers have only averaged 1.75 goals in the last four contests. It's too early to consider Hayes a disappointment, but it now appears it's going to take some time for him and his linemates to gel.

Hayes scored a power-play goal Wednesday and registered three shots with four PIM in a 4-0 triumph over New Jersey.
EDGE Analysis
It was the first goal in a Philadelphia uniform for Hayes, who signed a seven-year, $50 million contract with the Flyers in July. That substantial deal indicates big things are expected from Hayes, who hit the 20-goal plateau just once in his first five NHL seasons. He's getting a chance on the top line with Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek, so he just might provide a good bit of return on investment in 2019-20.

Hayes officially signed his seven-year, $50 million contract with the Flyers on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Hayes -- whose rights were traded to Philadelphia from Winnipeg on June 3 -- was scheduled to hit free agency July 1, but instead inked a long-term deal with his new club. The addition of Hayes will bolster the center depth for the organization, especially with the forward coming off a 2018-19 campaign in which he set career highs in assists (36), points (55) and power-play points (11). Hayes will likely knock Nolan Patrick into a third-line role and could force the youngster off the power play.

Hayes is nearing agreement on a seven-year, $50 million contract with the Flyers on Tuesday, Bob McKenzie of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hayes was acquired by Philly from Winnipeg earlier in June and was slated to become a free agent July 1, so the head start in contract talks appears to have paid off for the Flyers. The 27-year-old split last season between the Rangers and Jets and recorded 55 points (19 goals and 36 assists) in 71 games.

Hayes was traded to the Flyers from the Jets in exchange for a fifth-round pick on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
This move is a bit surprising as Hayes is set to hit free agency July 1. However, the Flyers now have a bit of a head start in trying to sign him. Hayes posted a career-high 55 points in 71 games during the 2018-19 campaign and has scored at least 40 in four of his five NHL seasons. For now, no contract extension is imminent.
