Eberle enjoyed a solid first season with the Islanders as he tallied 25 goals, 34 assists, and was a plus-5 in 81 games.

EDGE Analysis

Eberle was initially acquired by the Islanders to play on the top line opposite John Tavares. That duo didn't click so Eberle was eventually placed on a line with Calder Trophy finalist Matt Barzal and that duo along with Anthony Beauvillier worked extremely well together. That trio will likely play together next season, but could face much more defensive attention should John Tavares leave via free agency.

Eberle recorded two assists during Tuesday's 5-4 win over Philadelphia.

EDGE Analysis

With 25 goals and 34 assists for the campaign, Eberle needs to mark the scoresheet once through the Islanders final two games to return to the 60-point plateau for the first time since the 2014-15 season. He's fit in nicely with rookie Mathew Barzal, as the duo has clicked for a respectable 3.79 goals per 60 minutes. However, his slight uptick in production this season can largely be attributed to his rebound in shooting percentage (13.9) after posting a career-low 9.6 mark last year.

Eberle dished out three helpers -- two on the power play -- in Thursday's 7-6 loss to the Lightning.

EDGE Analysis

You have to feel for Eberle, who suffered through six lean defensive seasons in Edmonton before the team finally turned a corner last season, only to be traded to an Islanders team that's bringing up the rear in the league rankings defensively this year. On the bright side, he's now pushed three points ahead of last season's 51 in nine fewer appearances.

Eberle (undisclosed) is expected to play Saturday against the Penguins.

EDGE Analysis

Look for Eberle to reprise his role in the top six and on the No.3 power-play unit following a one-game absence. He's collected 46 points (22 goals, 24 assists) through 64 games in his debut season with the Isles.

Eberle (undisclosed) won't dress Friday against the Canadiens, Arthur Staple of The Athletic New York City reports.

EDGE Analysis

This will be the first game Eberle misses since the 2015-16 campaign. It'll be tough for the Islanders to make up what he brings to the table, as he has compiled 22 goals, 46 points and 147 shots on goal through 64 games this season. Since Casey Cizikas (personal) will be sitting out as well, blueliner Thomas Hickey will fill in his place, since the Islanders will roll with seven defensemen,

Eberle (undisclosed) may not be able to suit up Friday versus Montreal, Arthur Staple of The Athletic reports.

EDGE Analysis

Eberle is described as being sore and likely a game-time decision. The Islanders could be short multiple forwards as Casey Cizikas is also questionable to play due to the birth of his first child. Eberle has points in three straight games and has been a force on the second line with Matthew Barzal and Anthony Beauvillier. If he is unable to play Friday, then his next chance to play would be Saturday in Pittsburgh in what are quickly becoming must win game for the Islanders.

Eberle departed practice early Thursday due to some soreness relating to Wednesday's game against the Canadiens, but he is still expected to play in Friday's rematch versus Montreal, Cory Wright of the Islanders' official site reports.

EDGE Analysis

Eberle appears to be in good position to remain in the lineup for Friday's matchup, but more information on his status should surface at morning skate -- assuming the Isles hold one. The 27-year-old winger takes a three-game winning streak into Friday's contest, owning two goals and an assist over that span.

Eberle scored a goal and added a power-play assist during Friday's 7-6 overtime win against Detroit.

EDGE Analysis

This was Eberle's first multi-point showing in 10 contests dating back to Jan. 15. While he's definitely cooled off with just four goals during the skid, he's still collected an impressive 19 tallies, 23 helpers and 2.82 points per 60 minutes for the campaign. He projects to remain a solid asset in the majority of settings.

Eberle scored three goals on 16 shots in his final four games before the All-Star break.

EDGE Analysis

It took Eberle a little time to acclimate to the Islanders after being traded from Edmonton, but he's been hot in 2018. Since the turn of the calendar, the 27-year-old has 11 points in 11 contests.

Eberle recorded a pair of assists and a plus-2 rating during Monday's 5-4 win over Montreal.

EDGE Analysis

The veteran winger has now collected seven helpers through his past three games and is up to a rock-solid 14 goals and 36 points over 45 contests for the campaign. With Josh Bailey (lower body) currently out, it's been Eberle sliding out with the No. 1 power-play unit, which provides a fleeting boost in value for the duration of Bailey's absence. However, it's been Eberle's even-strength chemistry with Mathew Barzal that's driven his fantasy success, as the duo has combined for 4.16 goals per 60 minutes at five-on-five this season.
