After giving way to rookie Petr Mrazek yesterday, Howard will be back between the pipes on Saturday vs. Edmonton. Howard finally got some much needed rest as he had started every game up to that point for the Wings. The Red Wings have been up and down as a team, losing to bad teams and beating good teams. This will be Howard's 9th straight start. With Jonas Gustavsson out with an injury the Red WIngs have had to lean on Howard heavily. Howard has a good matchup against Calgary tomorrow. He is a good play.

Howard has been a workhorse his whole NHL career so he can start 8 straight games and fantasy owners do not need to worry. He is 4-2-1 with a 2.80 GAA and .904 SV% and it seems like the Red Wings are starting to find their way offensively. Howard has an easy matchup vs. the Blue Jackets tonight, start with confidence.

With Gustavsson out with an injury, Howard will continue to get the starts. He should be a safe bet against Columbus.

Howard has been great this year for the Red WIngs, considering how soft their D has look thus far. He got beat up for 6 goals in the season opener against the Blues, the Red Wings and Howard will be looking for redemption tonight when they take on St. Louis in Detroit.

Howard hasn't been his usual solid self with a GAA over 3 but the Stars at home should be a nice matchup.
