Jason Blake was signed by ANA on Friday January 18.

The Anaheim Ducks will not offer a contract extension to Jason Blake. Blake is coming off of a five-year/$20 million contract. Obviously he's not going to get an offer even close to that in terms of length or average salary. In fact, the question at this point is if they'll be any interest signing him to a one-way deal. He had seven goals and 12 points in 45 games last season and he'll turn 39 in September.

Jason Blake appears to be fine after a shot ricocheted off his mouth in the third period of Friday night's loss to the Kings. He took a shift near the end of the contest and seems to be OK. Blake should be available for Sunday's contest against the Predators.

The Anaheim Ducks have a 13-3-3 record in games that Jason Blake has participated in. When Blake has been injured or otherwise unable to play, Anaheim has a 9-21-6 record. "I think our record with him, you often wonder whether he came in at the right time or he's one of the main reasons it is what it is," Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau said. Personally, we're more inclined to believe that it's mostly coincidence, but Blake has definitely provided them with some much needed depth. Maybe that statistic will help Blake, who currently doesn't have a contract for the 2012-13 campaign.

Jason Blake netted his fifth goal of the season on Sunday. The goal snapped Blake's seven game pointless slump. Unless you're in a particularly deep league, Blake isn't worth owning.

Jason Blake (foot) returned to action on Friday and played on the third line. Blake lined up with Nick Bonino and Andrew Cogliano as he played his first game since January 24. Blake missed almost three months of the season after severing the tendon on his foot in October but has not been injury free since then. Blake played 17:24 minutes and saw a lot of time on the first power play unit (5:43 minutes) with Ryan Getzlaf, Corey Perry, Teemu Selanne and Lubomir Visnovsky.

Jason Blake (foot) is healthy enough to play in Friday's game. Injuries have limited Blake to just 14 games this season. He'll have to try and put that behind him and end the season on a strong note as he is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent this summer.

Jason Blake (foot) skated on Thursday and could return to the Anaheim lineup as early as Friday. Blake was injured on January 18th when he took a shot off his foot from teammate Lubomir Visnovsky. He played the next three games before the pain made it too sore to play. "It was a good skate," Blake said. "It was obviously encouraging that I could put my skate on without the pain, or that much pain." Stay tuned.

Jason Blake didn't play on Tuesday because of a foot injury. Blake missed the Ducks' Tuesday morning skate, which ultimately led to Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau deciding to scratch him in the Ducks' first game since the All-Star break. "He could have played tonight," Boudreau said. "If this was just normal as the season goes, he's playing. But when you have a break of five and six days, you've got to have a good practice before you go." Blake was put on the injured reserve list, but the move is retroactive to January 24th, so he's eligible to return at any time.
