Jagr will have his No. 68 retired by the Penguins on Feb, 18, the club announced Friday.
EDGE Analysis
With his jersey heading into the rafters in Pittsburgh, it appears Jagr has finally decided to hang up his skates and stop playing for his Czech team the Kladno Knights. A five-time Art Ross Trophy winner, Jagr spent 24 seasons playing in the NHL, including 11 of those years with the Penguins. While winning the Stanley Cup twice with the club, Jagr went on to score 439 goals and 640 assists in 806 games in the Black & Gold. All told, Jagr spent time with nine NHL teams, amassing 1921 points -- he figures to be a lock for the Hall of Fame.

Jagr -- who has been dealing with a knee issue -- will play for Rytiri Kladno in the Czech second league Monday, Zdenek Janda of Denik Sport reports.
EDGE Analysis
While a return to the NHL is probably off the table at this point, as long as the 47-year-old legend continues to play hockey, there will no doubt continue to be speculation of Jagr making a return. The world-class winger conveniently owns the Czech team, so his inclusion in the lineup is probably a guarantee whenever he feels up to suiting up.

Jagr -- who missed much of last season due to a knee injury -- isn't concerned about returning to the NHL, Brian Compton of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jagr told reporters, "My only goal for now is to feel better tomorrow than I felt today and to make it a day-by-day process." While technically a free agent, one has to imagine Kladno would be the leading candidate for his services this season, considering the 45-year-old owns the team. While it may seem like a long shot, it would be unwise to complete rule out another stint in the NHL for the ageless wonder.

Jagr cleared waivers Monday and is expected to join HC Kladno in his native Czech Republic, Bob McKenzie of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Considering Jagr is a co-owner of Kladno, it probably wasn't a hard sell to secure a spot in the lineup. The 45-year-old was not named to the initial Czech Republic squad for the 2018 Winter Olympics, but it likely isn't too late for him to be added to the team -- if he wants to suit up. Considering no organization submitted a claim for the veteran, one has to imagine this is the end of his NHL career. Jagr is a lock for first ballot Hall of Fame once he becomes eligible.

Jagr was waived by the Flames on Sunday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jagr and his agent have been working with the Flames for the last three weeks to find an exit scenario that would be mutually beneficial, and this was their best option. The 46-year-old winger has only suited up for 22 games this year -- missing 27 due to a variety of injuries -- and accrued just one goal and six assists in that span. It's clear that his rental value isn't as high as it was when he posted 46 points last campaign while not missing a game. If Jagr still wants to play in the NHL, it's a near lock that he'll be on another squad Monday. Otherwise, expect the living legend to head to a European league and be eligible to represent the Czech Republic in the 2018 Winter Olympics.

Jagr (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve Sunday, Kristen Odland of the Calgary Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
This injured reserve stint is retroactive to Dec. 31, so he can be activated at any point. However, as a previous report shows, the Flames are looking for a mutually beneficial exit plan for Jagr, so it's unlikely he plays another game for them. It's been over a week since news broke that he'd be leaving Calgary, but there have been no rumbles since about where his next destination will be.

Jagr (undisclosed) and his agent are working with the Flames on an exit plan, Elliotte Friedman of NHL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's tough to say for the living legend, but Jagr turns 46 years old Feb. 15, and his age may be catching up with him. Jagr has just one goal and six assists through 22 games this season. His inability to stay healthy is also part of the problem, as he's set to miss his 19th game of the season Saturday against the Ducks. It's possible that Jagr has played his last NHL game, but his agent has been given permission to speak with other NHL clubs. There is also interest from European leagues, which would allow him to suit up for the Czech Republic in the Olympics. Either way, Jagr will go down as one of the best to ever lace em' up.

Jagr (undisclosed) will not play in Saturday's game against the Ducks, John Shannon of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jagr missed Thursday's game against the Kings due to the mystery ailment, and will make it two in a row with his absence from the lineup Saturday. Either Curtis Lazar or Marek Hrivik will draw into the affair in the veteran's place, while Jagr's next opportunity to return arrives Tuesday against the Wild.

Jagr remains day-to-day with an undisclosed injury, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
There still wasn't any update on Jagr's status for Saturday's game against the Ducks, and he will likely be a game-time decision. If he can't go, Jagr will likely be replaced by either Marek Hrivik or Curtis Lazar.

Jagr will not play in Thursday's game against the Kings, and an update on his status is expected to surface Friday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The FAN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jagr has played in each of the last three contests after dealing with a lower-body issue, but will not be available Thursday for an undisclosed reason. More information on his status should surface Friday, while either Curtis Lazar or Marek Hrivik will draw into the lineup in his place against Los Angeles.
