Benn's goal against Buffalo in Thursday's 4-3 win now gives him two goals and an assist in his past three games as the Stars snap a three-game losing streak.

EDGE Analysis

Since returning from a foot injury, Benn has three goals and four assists in his past eight games, giving him 41 points in 46 games on the season. He's proving yet again that he's one of the league's best players, and despite a five percent drop in shooting percentage has been scoring at a point-per-game pace over the past few weeks. He's an elite fantasy player who continues to provide good returns and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

Benn scored a goal and handed out two assists (one on the power play) in Tuesday's 7-6 victory over the Rangers.

EDGE Analysis

The Stars' captain was about as engaged in this one as we've seen all year -- perhaps in response to and/or anticipation of the Rangers' attempts to get payback on Cody Eakin for hitting Henrik Lundqvist the last time the two teams met. Benn spent much of the game chirping the Rangers' bench, and he backed up his words with cold, hard points. Of course, that's nothing new for the star center, who now has 11 goals and 38 points through 42 contests. He still has a minus-9 rating and is short of the last two seasons' production, but Benn has been operating at better than a point-per-game pace for more than a month now.

Benn (foot) will return to Dallas' lineup for Thursday's game against the Red Wings.

EDGE Analysis

Benn will slot back into his usual top-six role Thursday, skating with Cody Eakin and Patrick Eaves on the Stars' second line, and will also retake his spot on Dallas' top power-play unit. The 27-year-old pivot has been his usual productive self this campaign, racking up 34 points (10 goals, 24 assists) in 38 games, and remains an elite option in all fantasy formats.

Benn (foot) will not be healthy enough to play Tuesday against the Ducks, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.

EDGE Analysis

Heika noted that the point-packing, power-play pivot was able to skate in the morning, but evidently Stars coach Lindy Ruff didn't see enough progress to give him the clearance to play. Benn, who's about to miss his fourth consecutive contest, will try to work his way back for Thursday's home game against the Red Wings.

Benn (foot) will test his injury at morning skate Tuesday before determining his status for the evening's contest against the Ducks, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.

EDGE Analysis

Benn was expected to miss both games Monday and Tuesday due to the injury, but appears to have made enough progress to be in consideration for the second contest of the team's back-to-back set. The team should update the star forward's status again following the morning skate, but the return of a skater with 34 points in 38 games would be a big boost to a team that's lost each of the first two games in his absence.

Benn (foot) won't play Saturday, and isn't expected to play Monday or Tuesday either.

EDGE Analysis

Before missing time with injury, the center was one of the league's top scorers with 34 points in 38 games. He will be eligible to return on Monday, but not expected to play, so owners should keep their eyes peeled for more information as Monday's game draws closer. If he misses Monday and Tuesday, his next chance to return will be Thursday against Detroit.

Benn (foot) has been placed on injured reserve, retroactive to Dec. 31.

EDGE Analysis

Benn's placement on IR allowed the Stars to activate fellow forward Antoine Roussel (upper body) from IR ahead of Wednesday's game against the Canadiens. Fantasy owners will be without the playmaking stud, who dons No. 14, at least until he's eligible to return Jan. 9 against the Kings.

Benn (foot) will not dress for Wednesday's game against the Canadiens, Mark Stepneski of the Stars' official site reports.

EDGE Analysis

Benn's foot injury occurred in Saturday's contest against the Panthers and will cost him at least one additional contest. His absence should result in either Adam Cracknell or Antoine Roussel (upper body) joining the lineup in his place, but neither presents the offensive upside.

Benn suffered a foot injury in Saturday's contest and is considered day-to-day.

EDGE Analysis

Benn status will no doubt be closely monitored by fans and fantasy owners alike considering he has 34 points in 38 games, including six goals and six helpers on the power play. If the winger is unable to play Wednesday against Montreal, Curtis McKenzie will slot into the top line, but is unlikely to offer anywhere near the production of Benn.

Benn exited Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Panthers with an apparent injury, Mike Heika of Dallas Morning News reports.

EDGE Analysis

The injury occurred during Patrick Eaves' goal in the second period, forcing the star center out of the game. Stars' head coach Lindy Ruff said following the contest, "He got a little dinged up. We'll have to see where he's at the next couple of days." The Stars have three days before their upcoming matchup with the Canadiens so there is likely to be an update on Benn's status at some point during that time.
