Benn suffered a foot injury in Saturday's contest and is considered day-to-day.

EDGE Analysis

Benn status will no doubt be closely monitored by fans and fantasy owners alike considering he has 34 points in 38 games, including six goals and six helpers on the power play. If the winger is unable to play Wednesday against Montreal, Curtis McKenzie will slot into the top line, but is unlikely to offer anywhere near the production of Benn.

Benn exited Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Panthers with an apparent injury, Mike Heika of Dallas Morning News reports.

EDGE Analysis

The injury occurred during Patrick Eaves' goal in the second period, forcing the star center out of the game. Stars' head coach Lindy Ruff said following the contest, "He got a little dinged up. We'll have to see where he's at the next couple of days." The Stars have three days before their upcoming matchup with the Canadiens so there is likely to be an update on Benn's status at some point during that time.

Benn has collected seven multi-point games, though he's under a point-per-game pace this season with nine goals and 20 assists in 35 contests.

EDGE Analysis

An Art Ross Trophy winner in 2014-15, Benn's had trouble finding the back of the net by his standards. Only Chicago's Patrick Kane and Alex Ovechkin of Washington topped Benn's 41 scores last campaign, but he's only lit the lamp nine times with just two games remaining in 2016. Of course, the Stars have been shaken by injuries this season, especially among the forward group, making it tough for Benn and the rest of the skaters within the top six to consistently shine. Still, don't dare put this guy on the bench as remains one of the league's best and separates himself from a guy like Kane due to his ability to tack on plenty of hits -- he's had 53 of those this season and over 100 in each of the past three years.

Benn scored a goal and added two assists -- one on the power play -- with three shots on net and a minor penalty during Tuesday's win over Anaheim.

EDGE Analysis

Home-road splits aren't always predictive of future results, but Benn's home-ice success jumps off the page. Over the past three years, the star winger has 51 goals and 110 points through 96 games at the American Airlines Center. He's a set-and-forget lock in seasonal leagues, but in daily contests, you'll want to take note of Benn's production at home going forward.

Benn registered his 200th NHL goal Thursday night in a 5-2 home win over the Predators. The fun didn't stop there, though, as he also tacked on a pair of helpers, including a setup on the man advantage.

EDGE Analysis

Skating in his eighth year, Benn rounds out the top 10 on the franchise scoring list, and is only 29 goals away from surpassing Minnesota North Stars winger Steve Payne, who played from 1978-88. Benn remains one of the premier pivots in all of hockey with 24 points in 28 games, but Dallas has been pitiful between the pipes and on the blue line; that's affected Benn, as he currently owns a minus-5 rating.

Benn scored a power-play goal and added two even-strength assists with five shots on net during Monday's overtime loss to St. Louis.

EDGE Analysis

Benn has heated up of late with five goals, 11 points and 29 shots on net over his past 10 games. Despite a modest start to the campaign (two goals and nine points through 13 games), Benn is back to checking out atop the ranks as an elite scorer and fantasy asset going forward.

Benn scored the game-winning goal in overtime during Monday's win over Minnesota.

EDGE Analysis

After averaging 85 points per year over the previous three seasons, Benn's been a little slow out of the gate in 2016-17 with just six goals and 10 helpers through 20 games. However, the Stars are beginning to get healthier around him, which should prove to help Benn's offensive production going forward. Additionally, he's a hot stretch away from creeping back up to point-per-game territory. Continue to view Benn as an elite fantasy asset.

Benn notched an assist, as well as two penalty minutes, in Sunday's 5-4 loss to Vancouver.

EDGE Analysis

With 14 points in 16 games, Benn is one of the best fantasy forwards in the game right now. Unfortunately, his next tilt is against the Devils, who have the third lowest goals against per game in the league.

Benn notched two assists -- one with the man advantage -- during Friday's win over the Oilers.

EDGE Analysis

After a slow start (four points through the first eight games of the campaign), Benn has caught fire with two goals, seven assists, 15 shots, 10 PIM and 13 hits over his past seven games. He's an elite scorer and fantasy option, and Benn is usually worth the price of admission in daily contests when facing a favorable opponent.

Benn did what he does best Thursday, potting a pair of goals in a 4-2 win over the Flames.

EDGE Analysis

His second snipe came on the power-play in the third period and held up as the game-winner. With 11 points in 14 games thus far, Benn is behind his typical point-per-game (or higher) scoring pace, but the Stars' captain now has seven points in his last six games and should continue to get on the scoresheet regularly as one of the most well-rounded, prolific forwards in the league.
