Visnovsky (undisclosed) will not play in Thursday's Game 5 against the Capitals, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports. The Islanders haven't formally announced the nature or extent of Visnovsky's injury, but it wouldn't be a surprise if he missed the remainder of the series after he took a jarring hit from the Capitals' Tom Wilson in Game 4 that bloodied the blueliner's face and quite possibly resulted in a concussion. Both Griffin Reinhart and Ryan Pulock will take part in pregame warmups Thursday, with coach Jack Capuano deciding thereafter which defenseman will replace Visnovsky on the third pairing.
