Torres (knee) was assigned to AHL San Jose on Saturday, Kevin Kurz of CSN Bay Area reports.

Torres has been hampered by a nagging knee injury for quite some time, and will need to play himself back into game shape in the AHL in order to get another opportunity with the big club this season. If the 34-year-old winger's knee ailment fails to improve, he could be shut down for the remainder of the 2015-16 campaign.
