Tanev signed a five-year contract extension with the Canucks on Tuesday, the team's official site reports. Per the Province, Tanev's new deal with Vancouver will average $4.45 million per year. The blueliner recorded an assist Sunday against the Coyotes, giving him 16 points in 60 game to date, to go along with a plus-10 rating.
