Sam Gagner of the Edmonton Oilers has seven points in seven games and may well add to significantly to his totals this afternoon.

The Oilers visit the Avalanche in Colorado today, and Gagner has scored 31 points in 30 career games against the Avs. Gagner's eyes light up the most when he sees the Avs. "I wish I was that hot against every team, but that's not always the case," Gagner said. "Obviously, the Northwest Division games, you get up for them. I've had lots of success and hopefully I can start doing it against other teams." Gagner seems quicker this season - he' on the puck faster and harder. He's also playing in more situations. "Ralph's (Oilers head coach Krueger) given me some good linemates (veteran Ales Hemsky and rookie Nail Yakupov)," Gagner said, smiling.
