Ryan Kesler feels the Vancouver Canucks are poised for a much better showing in the playoffs this year.

"We're healthier, and to be honest, I don't think we were ready for the grind last year," Kesler said referring to starting the 2012 postseason without the concussed Daniel Sedin. "We know what it takes to get to a final and Game 7 of a final. We're hungry this year, and I can feel the energy in the room. I see how bad guys want it." He generated 13 points in 17 games this season, while dealing with injuries. It's still not clear if he will matched up against Joe Thornton or Logan Couture in Wednesday's series opener versus San Jose, but he feels up for either challenge.
