Skinner stopped 46 of 47 shots in Thursday's 2-1 shootout win over the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
Skinner was every bit as good as Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck, and arguably even a little better. Skinner helped the Oilers kill off four penalties, including a double-minor by Connor McDavid that covered 3:16 of overtime. The 23-year-old Skinner earned his first win in four outings, and he's allowed only seven goals on 116 shots. Mikko Koskinen has been the unquestioned No. 1 with Mike Smith (leg) out of action, but a performance like Thursday's from Skinner can't be ignored, as the Oilers will likely want the youngster to see regular playing time.
