P.A. Parenteau scored his fifth and sixth goals of the young season to help the Colorado Avalanche beat the Flames 6-3 in Calgary Thursday night.

Parenteau, however, was the only two-goal scorer for Colorado. There were two others -- Paul Stastny with his first two of the season and John Mitchell with his third and fourth. Matt Duchene also picked up two points for the Avs with two assists. The game was tied 3-3 until the third period. Colorado scored three goals with less than three minutes remaining in regulation, including an empty-netter by Parenteau.
