Olli Jokinen is still hopeful that an agreement between the NHL and the Players' Association can occur before any regular season games are lost.

"We don't want to miss games," he said after another workout at the Iceplex on Monday. "The clock is ticking and we're getting closer to the regular season starting. So I guess it's better than to cancel games month by month." He said the only updates he gets are from the union because news from the media can be misleading. Jokinen still doesn't think that this lockout will drag through the entire season, but one side will have to give something more in negotiations to spark meaningful progress soon.
