Milan Lucic feels getting outworked by the AHL Providence Bruins in a scrimmage Tuesday will help the big club moving toward their NHL opener.

He said now he knows "what [he has] to work on" with Saturday's opener against the Rangers drawing closer. Lucic is hoping that the 7-5 loss will be "a good wake-up call for us." The Boston power forward didn't play overseas during the lockout, so he may need some time in the early part of the year to get back up to speed.
