Milan Hejduk is contemplating retirement at the end of the season.

This has been a horrible year for the Avalanche captain as he has slumped miserably in the last half of the season with no goals and only three assists in his last 22 games. "It is what it is," Hejduk said of his move down to the fourth line. "I try to help the team any way I can and leave it all out there, and not worry about anything else." It could be the end of the line for the 36-year-old who has said he will not play for another NHL team despite pending free agency in July.
