Kris Letang says his injured hip is "good now," which should help him play in top form again when NHL play resumes.
He suffered the ailment late last season and said it was a problem during the Stanley Cup playoffs. "I talked with doctors after the season," said Letang. "They told me to let me know how it felt during (summer) training. It feels good." The offensive defenseman missed 31 games in 2011-12 because of two concussions, but he proved his worth when he was healthy with 10 goals and 42 points in 51 games. He was also productive in the postseason despite his hip issue with five points in six matches versus Philadelphia. Letang said he was open to playing in Europe depending on how long the lockout lingers.
