Jordan Eberle wasn't injured despite taking a knee-on-knee hit in the AHL on Sunday.
Antoine Roussel of the Texas Stars appeared to go after the 22-year-old forward, who led the Oilers in scoring last season with 34 goals and 76 points in 78 games. Roussel was given a five-minute major for kneeing and a game misconduct for the infraction. Eberle isn't the only high-profile Edmonton player in the minors that has suffered some abuse, but he's likely to be a target out there because of his skill level. He has two goals and six points in seven games so far.
