Jeff Carter scored his first career playoff hat trick as the Los Angeles Kings dominated the Phoenix Coyotes 4-0 to take a 2-0 series lead.

Carter came into Tuesday with just a single goal, so this might be a springboard for bigger things. Dwight King also hit four tallies on the postseason, collecting the 1-0 winner. Anze Kopitar collected two assists and Dustin Brown drew a ton of penalty minutes (along with registering a helper) in a laugher for Los Angeles. Justin Williams and Mike Richards also had an assist.
