Jason Pominville and Jordan Leopold aren't looking at Thursday as a hard deadline to preserve an 82-game season.

Pominville and Leopold both think that there are five-to-seven days of wiggle room to get a new CBA done after Thursday if they still want an 82-game season. That might be true, but given that there are currently no meetings scheduled, it might not matter. The union and league are stuck in a staring contest and neither one seems interested in compromising further, even if doing so would allow for a full season. Then again, things can change quickly and even though we're stuck in limbo today, there's always a chance - albeit a remote one - that there will be a breakthrough tomorrow.
