Per Steve Carp of VegasHockeyNow.com, Thompson was the first goalie off the ice at morning skate, indicating he'll start between the pipes on the road in Tuesday's preseason matchup with Colorado.

Thompson wasn't great in his preseason debut Sept. 26 versus San Jose, surrendering four goals on 28 shots en route to a 4-2 loss. The 24-year-old netminder is behind Robin Lehner and Laurent Brossoit on Vegas' depth chart, so he'll almost certainly begin the 2021-22 campaign in the minors.
