Carl Hagelin has reportedly returned to New York to rehab his shoulder injury.
He was hurt while playing for Sodertalje in Sweden's second-tier league. The ailment was originally thought to be just a bruise, but a report out of Sweden on Wednesday suggested it was more serious. The fact that he's left the team indicates the injury isn't of the day-to-day variety anymore. It's still unclear how severe the damage is, but no surgery is expected to be required. Hagelin had five goals and 11 points in eight games with Sodertalje prior to getting injured.
