Lundqvist (knee) will defend the cage against the Flyers on Wednesday, Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

EDGE Analysis

Lundqvist -- who sat out the World Championships due to a knee injury -- will get his first taste of game action Wednesday. King Henrik should log 60-plus games this season, but may struggle to register 30 wins again this year given the rebuild occuring around him.

Lundqvist (knee) has decided not to play for Team Sweden in the 2018 World Championship next month, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

Lundqvist says the injury bothered him all year, but would not blame his struggles on being hurt. Nonetheless, the 36-year-old will rest up this offseason and should be set for the start of the 2018-19 regular season. He'll look to bounce back from a rough season, going 26-26-7 with a 2.98 GAA and .915 save percentage.

Lundqvist will undergo an MRI on his knee after dealing with the injury throughout the season, Rick Carpiniello of The Athletic New York reports.

EDGE Analysis

Lundqvist seemed adamant that the injury didn't affect his play, but when you consider this is only the second time he has failed to reach the 30-win mark in a season -- the other being the lockout shortened 2012-13 campaign -- his claim starts to fall apart. Certainly the netminder won't shoulder the full blame of the Rangers' disappointing season; however, his career-worst GAA (2.98) was no doubt a factor.

Lundqvist saved 35 of 40 shots during Saturday's 5-0 loss to Philadelphia.

EDGE Analysis

The 36-year-old veteran finishes the campaign with a mediocre 26-26-7 record, .915 save percentage and 2.98 GAA. He's under contract through the 2020-21 season at an $8.5 million cap hit, so Lundqvist projects to be the No. 1 netminder for the Rangers until he chooses otherwise. Unfortunately, the fantasy setup is unlikely to improve drastically by next fall, so expecting a notable rebound to his numbers is probably ill-advised.

Lundqvist will guard the cage in Saturday's season finale against the Flyers.

EDGE Analysis

Lundqvist wasn't great in his last start Tuesday against the Devils, surrendering five goals on 44 shots en route to a 5-2 defeat. The Swedish netminder will look to bounce back and end his disappointing season on a high note in a road matchup with an Islanders club that's averaging 3.43 goals per game at home this campaign, seventh in the NHL.

Lundqvist allowed five goals on 44 shots during Tuesday's 5-2 loss to New Jersey.

EDGE Analysis

The veteran has only won one of his past seven starts and owns an underwhelming .911 save percentage and 3.35 GAA during that stretch. With the Rangers eliminated from the playoffs and rebuilding, Lundqvist probably shouldn't be considered a strong option for either of New York's upcoming road games against the Islanders and Flyers.

Lundqvist will start between the pipes in Tuesday's road game against the Devils, Mike Morreale of NHL.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

Lundqvist was razor sharp in his last start Saturday against the Hurricanes, turning aside 40 of the 41 shots he faced en route to an impressive 2-1 victory. Tuesday's start will be a historic one for the Swedish netminder, as he'll be passing Harry Lumley for sole possession of 14th place on the NHL's all-time list for games played by a goaltender. He'll look to stay dialed in and secure his 27th win of the season in a road matchup with a hot Devils team that's gone 7-2-1 in its last 10 games.

Lundqvist made 40 saves in Saturday's 2-1 win over Carolina.

EDGE Analysis

It was his first win in his last six starts. King Henrik has been sidelined for parts of March because of a bad back. But he looked fantastic against the scoring Canes.

Lundqvist will tend the visiting net for Saturday's game against the Hurricanes.

EDGE Analysis

Lundqvist set aside 30 of the 33 shots he faced in his last contest, but it wasn't enough for him to avoid an overtime loss to the Capitals. The veteran netminder will attempt to get back in the win column Saturday for the first time since March 2 against the Flames but could have a tough time doing so against a Hurricanes club averaging 3.47 goals per game in March.

Lundqvist stopped 30 shots in Wednesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Capitals.

EDGE Analysis

A combination of poor play and a sore back has kept Lundqvist out of the lineup for six of the last seven games, but he looked strong in his return to action even if he didn't get the win. At 36 years old, the netminder isn't the perennial Vezina contender he used to be and is headed for the worst GAA of his career, but Lundqvist isn't an outright liability -- either for the Rangers or for fantasy GMs -- quite yet.
