Malkin scored a goal and added two assists -- one on the power play -- during Friday's 6-1 win over Carolina.

EDGE Analysis

The five-day break didn't slow Malkin down, and he's now marked the scoresheet in 28 of 36 games for 27 goals and 25 assists since returning from an upper-body injury Dec. 1. The impressive stretch has him in the Art Ross running, and his 4.02 points per 60 minutes pace the league. Mario Lemieux approves.

Malkin scored a goal and added two assists Saturday in a 5-3 win over Toronto.

EDGE Analysis

And just like that, Gino moves into second in league scoring with 69 points (33 goals, 36 assists). The Pens boast the triple-threat of Malkin, Phil Kessel and Sidney Crosby, all of whom sit in the top-five in league scoring. Malkin is white hot -- he is riding a three-game, six-point scoring streak and he's been held off the scoresheet just once in his last 10 games (12 goals, eight assists).

Malkin scored a goal and added a power-play assist during Tuesday's 6-3 win over Ottawa.

EDGE Analysis

Malkin now has found the scoresheet in seven of his past eight games for 10 tallies, six helpers and five multi-point showings. He's up to an elite 1.83 goals, 3.84 points and 9.88 shots per 60 minutes, and barring injury, there's no reason to expect Malkin to slow down.

Malkin scored a goal and added an assist during Tuesday's 5-4 win over Vegas.

EDGE Analysis

Malkin has now collected nine tallies and four helpers through his past five outings to improve to 30 goals and 62 points through just 51 games for the campaign. The Russian center has scored his way into the Art Ross race and is currently carrying fantasy teams with his offense. Considering he's well on his way to a seventh consecutive point-per-game showing, there might not be a drastic dip in production ahead, either.

Malkin earned NHL First Star of the Week honors, after racking up six goals in three games.

EDGE Analysis

With 60 points on the year, Malkin is certainly in contention for the Art Ross Trophy, although he remains three behind teammate Phil Kessel. The 31-year-old Russian is sporting the highest shooting percentage of his career (18.4 percent) and seems nothing short of unstoppable of late. All of the Pens' stars are benefitting by their time on the ice together as part of the league's most potent power play (27.6 percent), as Malkin is third in power-play points with the man advantage (28), behind Sidney Crosby (30) and Kessel (33).

Malkin scored the Penguins' only goal in a 3-1 loss to the Devils on Saturday night.

EDGE Analysis

It was his 29th goal. Malkin is nursing a four-game, 11-point scoring (and goal) streak that includes eight goals and three assists. He continues to dominate with 60 points in 50 games, which is good enough for a two-way tie with Jakub Voracek for fourth in NHL scoring.

Malkin scored two goals and added two assists during Friday's 7-4 win over Washington.

EDGE Analysis

Now up to seven goals and three assists through his past three games, Malkin has collected 21 tallies and 38 points through 27 games since returning from an upper-body injury Dec. 1. He's also improved to a high-end 3.85 points per 60 minutes for the campaign and should continue to be viewed as an elite asset in all settings moving forward.

Malkin scored three goals on four shots with a plus-3 rating in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Sharks.

EDGE Analysis

It was his 12th career hat trick, and the second straight three-point performance for Malkin. He's been a dynamo in January, scoring 12 goals and 19 points in 12 games, but his volatility makes him a better tournament play in DFS than a cash-game option -- he's got six multi-point outings in those 12 games, but also four nights where he was held off the scoresheet entirely.

Malkin scored twice and dished out an assist in a 6-3 win over the visiting Wild on Thursday.

EDGE Analysis

Malkin put an end to a brief two-game absence from the scoresheet with a trio of points in this one, bringing his totals up to 23 goals and 29 assists through 47 contests. No. 71's five shots on net give him 147 on the year, as well, third on the team behind Phil Kessel's 183 and Patric Hornqvist's 151. Also, while Malkin's minus-4 rating is currently the second worst mark of his career, the Penguins have been surging lately and a strong second half could easily get the Russian start back into positive territory.

Malkin was fined $5,000 for spearing Dustin Brown in Thursday's game against the Kings.

EDGE Analysis

Brown was hit with a $10,000 fine of his own for boarding Penguins defenseman Justin Schultz in the chippy affair, but either way, it's basically pocket change for both players. What matters more to fantasy owners is that they weren't suspended for their actions, although it could be a different story if they keep up these antics. Malkin is averaging over a point per game (21 goals, 28 assists) for the seventh consecutive season, and time missed due to injuries or suspensions seems to be the only way to hold Geno in check from a fantasy standpoint.
