Malkin scored the game-winning goal and recorded three assists (one on the power play) during Tuesday's 5-4 overtime win against the Rangers. He also received a minor penalty for roughing.

EDGE Analysis

The big outing snapped a three-game point drought and upped Malkin to two goals and six assists for the season. He's locked in as an elite fantasy asset in all settings, but owners need to keep in mind that No. 71 hasn't matched his jersey number in games played since the 2011-12 campaign.

Malkin didn't register a point in a 3-2 victory on Wednesday at Washington.

EDGE Analysis

Going scoreless once is no reason for concern, as Malkin remains a point-per-game player. He should be fine moving forward as a top option.

Malkin garnered a pair of helpers in Wednesday's overtime defeat against the Blues.

EDGE Analysis

Malkin has been hampered by injuries over the previous five seasons -- having last logged 70-plus games during the 2011-12 campaign -- but when he is in the lineup, the Russian is a point-per-game player. While the injury woes are certainly a concern for owners, the 31-year-old's productivity puts him in the elite tier of fantasy centers.

Malkin has posted one power-play goal and an even-strength assist through two games this preseason.

EDGE Analysis

The Penguins will wrap up the exhibition slate Saturday afternoon for a home contest versus the Blue Jackets. It's a limited sample to be sure, but early indications point to Malkin being in fine form entering the 2017-18 campaign. Geno is projected to center the second line with Carl Hagelin and Phil Kessel at his sides. He will, of course, slot in on the top power-play unit as well.

Malkin scored his 10th goal of the playoffs and added an assist in Thursday's Game 5 win over the Predators.

EDGE Analysis

While Malkin is known as one of the league's best offensive players, he's also helping fantasy owners with a whopping 53 PIM this postseason. The feisty center only put up 18 points during the team's cup-winning run last season, but he's already piled on 28 points this time around. Malkin has struck for three goals in the Stanley Cup Final and is a huge reason the team is just one win away from capturing another cup. What a monster.

Malkin scored a power-play goal to open the scoring in Monday's Game 1 win over Nashville.

EDGE Analysis

The goal was Malkin's fifth point over his past four games, and he's now three points clear of Sidney Crosby for the postseason lead. Malkin is up to 154 points -- 56 goals -- through 143 playoff games and continues to be a driving force for the Penguins offense. It's also worth noting that Monday's power-play goal was his first with the man advantage, but Malkin has collected an impressive 10 power-play assists.

Malkin opened the scoring in Tuesday's 2-1 Game 6 loss to the Senators.

EDGE Analysis

Malkin was all over the ice in this one, launching a game-high seven shots, including the lone Pittsburgh shot in 46 tries to beat Anderson. Unfortunately for him and the Penguins, Malkin's tally 4:51 into the second ended up being for naught when Bobby Ryan and Mike Hoffman both answered with goals of their own for the Senators. The Russian sniper should be a major force in Game 7 after racking up seven goals and 24 points through 18 playoff games.

Malkin picked up three assists in Pittsburgh's 7-0 romp over Ottawa in Game 5 on Sunday.

EDGE Analysis

Malkin has seemingly screwed his head back on after ringing up 22 PIM in games two and three, combined. Sunday's performance was his first multi-point effort since May 1 (Game 3 against Washington).

Malkin was hit with game misconduct penalties in back-to-back contests against the Senators in these conference finals.

EDGE Analysis

You can tell that the Senators are getting under the Russian's skin, as he amassed 22 PIM -- including a roughing call in Game 2 -- in the waning moments of the those fiery matches. Malkin has provided a goal and an assist in the conference finals, but the Penguins are down 2-1 in the ongoing series and can ill-afford to watch the star pivot open himself up to costly penalties or let him get out of control emotionally.

Malkin scored the lone Pittsburgh goal in Saturday's Game 1 loss to Ottawa.

EDGE Analysis

It was a sweet redirection by Geno, who tied the game late in the third period to help force overtime. He's been piling on the points this postseason with six goals and 13 assists through 13 games. Malkin fired four shots on goal Saturday and looked dangerous at times, so look for him to once again be a key player in this round. Craig Anderson has been hot of late, but he's shown signs of weakness this postseason, so if the Penguins can get some pucks past him in Game 2, the floodgates should open in the series.
