Potter agreed to a one-year contract with Kolner Haie of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga.
EDGE Analysis
Potter has played in just seven NHL games over the last two seasons where he recorded a mere two shots on goal. In the AHL this year, the defenseman tallied 20 points in 70 regular season outings in addition to logging 44 PIM. At 32 years old, Potter is unlikely to find his way back to the NHL following this stint in Europe.

Potter was called up from AHL Milwaukee on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Potter is expected to see action as the Predators are resting Roman Josi and Shea Weber to prepare for the postseason. Since joining AHL Milwaukee via trade, the blueliner has tallied just three helpers and 12 PIM. While he is a solid defensive players, the 32-year-old does not write himself onto the scoresheet enough to warrant a spot on most fantasy lineups.

Potter was traded to the Predators on Monday in exchange for future considerations.
EDGE Analysis
Potter did not draw into any games with Arizona this season as he was playing for AHL Springfield where he tallied five goals and 12 assists in 52 contests. It seems reasonable to expect that the 32-year-old veteran will wind up finishing the year with AHL Milwaukee, the Predators' AHL affiliate.

The Coyotes have signed Potter to a one-year, two-way contract, and sent him to the minors, Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Potter was in training camp on a professional tryout contract. He made his way into 62 games with the Oilers back in 2011-12, though he's only seen 58 games between the Oilers, Bruins and Flames since then. There is no evidence at this point to suggest that Potter will suddenly earn a full-time role with the 'Yotes.

Potter signed a professional tryout contract with the Coyotes on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Potter spent time in both the minors and in the NHL with the Flames last season, serving mostly as a seventh defenseman for the latter squad. The 31-year-old is best qualified for a depth role at the NHL level that involves little ice time, which the Coyotes may be inclined to give him if they decide some of their younger options on the blue line need more development time in the minors.

Potter was recalled from AHL Adirondack on Wednesday, Scott Cruickshank of the Calgary Herald reports. Tyler Wotherspoon was unable to break into the Calgary lineup as a seventh defenseman, so he'll head back to the minors in a corresponding move in an effort to pick up more ice time. The Flames aren't nearly as keen on carving out a regular lineup spot for the 31-year-old Potter, who looks to be little more than organizational depth. He'll stick with the team only as insurance in the event of an injury on the blue line.

Potter was reassigned to AHL Adirondack on Wednesday, Scott Cruickshank of the Calgary Herald reports. Potter had yet to log a single appearance with the Flames this season across two different stints. With no indication that he'd break into the lineup in the near future, the Flames elected to send him back to the minors, where he'll be able to pick up some more consistent ice time.

Potter was recalled from AHL Adirondack on Friday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The FAN reports. Potter was sent back to the AHL Tuesday, but was recalled again Thursday, likely indicating Ladislav Smid isn't ready to return. It also could could signify that one of the six blueliners on the active roster are dealing with an injury or illness. Regardless, Potter will take his spot back with the Flames, though it probably won't be for an extended period of time.

Potter was called up to provide depth as a seventh defenceman while Ladislav Smid recovered from an upper body injury. Potter's reassignment to AHL Adirondack may indicate that Smid is close to making a return to action.

Potter was called up from AHL Adirondack on Saturday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet.ca reports. The placement of Ladislav Smid (upper body) on injured reserve will open up a roster spot for Potter, who the Flames had assigned to Adirondack in later October after his recovery from shoulder surgery knocked him out of training camp. He's expected to serve as a seventh defenseman during his stay with the Flames, as Smid's lineup spot will more than likely go to Raphael Diaz.
