Kreider registered a power-play goal among six shots as well as an assist in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime road loss to the Capitals.

EDGE Analysis

New York's top line had an easy time slicing through the attacking zone, as Kreider, Mike Zibanejad and Jesper Fast combined for 15 shots in this tightly contested Metropolitan Division clash. Kreider now has goals in back-to-back games and six total points on the young season.

Kreider lit the lamp twice in Sunday's 8-5 loss to Carolina.

EDGE Analysis

Kreider picked up his first two points of the season, albeit in a losing effort. The speedster is coming off a disappointing 2017-18 season that saw him finish with 44 points in an injury-shortened season that limited him to 58 games. The Rangers don't profile as an upper-echelon team, however, that shouldn't stop Kreider from having a bounce-back season, assuming he can remain healthy.

Kreider will participate in the 2018 IIHF World Championship next month, USA Hockey reports.

EDGE Analysis

Kreider potted 16 goals to supplement 21 assists through 58 games this season, marking the second-best points-per-game pace of his career. Unfortunately, his fantasy value took a hit as he needed time off to treat a blood clot in his right arm and also went under the knife to resect his rib. The Massachusetts native has two years left on his contract with the Rangers before he'll be able to hit the open market as an unrestricted free agent, and there's reason to believe that his numbers will suffer as the Blueshirts enter a rebuilding phase.

Kreider scored a goal and an assist in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Sabres.

EDGE Analysis

The helper came on the power play, while Kreider also added two shots, two PIM and a plus-1 rating to his ledger. The 26-year-old has hit the scoresheet in five straight games, racking up three goals and 10 points during that stretch with five of those points (two goals, three assists) coming with the man advantage. An upper-body injury cost Kreider 24 games this season and have hurt his totals, but if he stays hot down the stretch he should still be able to record his fourth straight 40-point campaign.

Kreider scored a goal and three assists while adding three shots, one blocked shot, one hit and a plus-2 rating in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Penguins.

EDGE Analysis

The goal and one of the helpers came on the power play, and Kreider now has 13 goals and 30 points in 47 games on the season. After being sidelined through all of January and most of February with an upper-body injury he seems fully recovered now, recording two goals and eight points in his last eight contests.

Kreider (undisclosed) will be back for Saturday's road game against the Panthers, Brett Cyrgalis of the New York Post reports.

EDGE Analysis

Kreider reportedly is set for top-line duty opposite Jesper Fast, and he'll be centered by two-way Swede Mikka Zibanejad. Such an arrangement obviously comes with power-play ice time as well, but it's been tough sledding for Kreider, who was originally selected 19th overall by the Rangers in the 2009 draft. He's only compiled 12 goals and 13 assists (seven points on the man advantage) through 44 games. We'd like to give the American winger the benefit of the doubt given his impressive track record, but the Rangers don't have anything to play for but pride at this point so we recommend streaming him only in matchups that appear highly favorable on paper.

Per coach Alain Vigneault, Kreider (undisclosed) is considered 50-50 to play Saturday against the Panthers.

EDGE Analysis

Kreider left Thursday's 5-3 loss to Tampa Bay due to "precautionary reasons," but it appears as though his exit may not have been strictly precautionary after all. If the 26-year-old winger is unable to go Saturday, Peter Holland will likely round out the Rangers' depth up front against Florida.

Kreider left Thursday's game against the Lightning for precautionary reasons and will not return.

EDGE Analysis

The 26-year-old forward has just six games under his belt since returning from an upper-body injury that held him out for 24 contests. There's no word as to whether his exit on Thursday was related or not. An update on Kreider's health should be available after the game.

Kreider registered two shots and four hits through 15:59 of ice time during Friday's 4-1 loss to Minnesota.

EDGE Analysis

While Kreider didn't mark the point column, returning to regular minutes with Mika Zibanejad and Pavel Buchnevich in a stop six role is encouraging for his virtual outlook. The American winger missed 24 games with an upper-body injury, so it wouldn't be shocking if it took him some time to return to form. Additionally, the Rangers are expected to deal talent ahead of the upcoming trade deadline, so that might also limit his upside moving forward. However, there aren't many settings where he's completely off the fantasy radar.

Kreider (upper body) will rejoin the lineup Friday against the Wild, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

Kreider was deemed medically cleared to play Wednesday and was expected to return during one of the team's contests this weekend. It appears he won't need to wait until Sunday to do so, retaking the ice Friday after being sidelined for nearly two months. He should immediately slot into a top-six role and factor into the power play, though the bodies around him have changed somewhat due to trades.
