Roussel signed a four-year, $12 million contract with Vancouver on Sunday, TSN reports.

EDGE Analysis

Following up four straight seasons with over 12 goals and 25 points, Roussel's stat line fell off with just five goals and 17 points in 2017-18. The 28-year-old figures to be a bottom-six forward and extend his five season streak of over 110 PIM.

Roussel is expected to sign a four-year deal with the Canucks drawing $3.25 million annually, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

EDGE Analysis

The signing period will not officially begin until 12 p.m. ET. However, Roussel almost assuredly will end up in Vancouver, as this news comes from a highly credible source. The French-born winger has accumulated 64 goals and 77 assists over 413 career contests -- all with Dallas. He went from averaging 15:31 of ice time in 2016-17 to a paltry 12:26 mark last season, so a change of scenery could do wonders for Roussel and his chances of improving in 2018-19.

Roussel lit the lamp five times and supplied 12 assists, while also pitching in 126 penalty minutes in 2017-18.

EDGE Analysis

Although Roussel lined up on the second line at the end of the season, he just averaged 12:25 of ice time on the year and never received the benefit of playing with either Jamie Benn or Tyler Seguin, which certainly would've provided a boost to his points total. As usual, the Frenchman really made his gritty game felt by opponents, as his 126 penalty minutes was third most in the NHL, and he also dished in 104 hits. The 28-year-old was unable to log 20-points however for the first time since 2012-13, but will return to Dallas for the last season of his four year contract in 2017-18.

Roussel (back) will return to the lineup Sunday against the Sharks, Mark Stepneski of the Stars' official site reports.

EDGE Analysis

Roussel missed just one game with his back injury. The 28-year-old winger has five goals and 14 points in 49 games this season. There are likely better options in most fantasy leagues.

Roussel (back) took a skate before practice and took the ice during the session briefly before leaving, leaving his status in question for Sunday's matchup with the Sharks, Mark Stepneski of the Stars' official site reports.

EDGE Analysis

Roussel skipped Friday's matchup against the Blues due to back spasms that surfaced during practice Wednesday. More information on his status should appear on game day after another night of resting his back. If he's unable to go, Gemel Smith could draw into the lineup once again.

Roussel (back) did not participate in morning skate Friday, and it appears that Jason Dickinson will need to take his spot in the lineup Friday night against the Blues, Mike Heika of The Dallas Morning News reports.

EDGE Analysis

The Frenchman reportedly is dealing with back spasms, and his expected absence could weaken a penalty kill that's been on point for most of the season -- it ranks ninth in the league with a stave-off percentage of 82.2 percent. However, it shouldn't be too difficult to find a replacement-level option in most fantasy leagues, as Roussel has compiled only 14 points (five goals, nine assists) through 49 games.

Roussel was held out of practice Wednesday due to back spasms, Mark Stepneski of the Stars' official site reports.

EDGE Analysis

Roussel has been hampered by vaiours maladies throughout the season that have cost him eight games. Even when healthy, the winger is struggling to produce, as he is bogged down in an 18-game goal drought. The Frenchman has added a mere three helpers during his goalless streak, along with 30 PIM and 25 shots. If the 27-year-old can't figure out how to start producing soon, he seems destined to be dropped to a bottom-six role.

Roussel (sinus infection) will rejoin the lineup Saturday against the Wild, Sean Shapiro of NHL.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

Roussel has been dealing with some sinus issues, putting an end to a recent stretch in which he totaled two points (both assists) in the last three games and racked up 12 penalty minutes. The winger may reach the fringes of some fantasy leagues when his involvement across the board is factored in, but Roussel remains largely off the fantasy radar in standard formats.

Roussel (sinus) will once again be a game-time call ahead of Saturday's clash with the Wild, Mark Stepneski of the Stars' official site reports.

EDGE Analysis

Roussel has already missed two games due to his lingering sinus issue, with the potential for a third. Gemel Smith has served as Roussel's fill in for the Stars' previous two clashed and should continue to do so Saturday if Frenchman is unavailable.

Roussel (sinus infection) will not play Thursday in Arizona, Mike Heika of The Dallas Morning News reports.

EDGE Analysis

Roussel was a game-time decision for Thursday's tilt and will now miss his second consecutive game following the All-Star break. With just 14 points in 44 games, the 28-year-old forward's absence shouldn't break too many fantasy teams. Look for Roussel to return on Saturday against the Wild.
