EDGE Analysis

Woodyard was a disruptive force, recording two tackles for loss and two quarterback hits in addition to his team-leading tackles total. With 27 tackles (19 solo) through three weeks, the 31-year-old linebacker has been strong out of the gate in his 10th NFL season.

Woodyard tallied nine tackles (six solo) in the Titans triumph over the Jags on Sunday.

EDGE Analysis

Woodyard picked up where he left off after recording eight tackles (five solo) in the season opener. The veteran missed some practice time last week due to an illness, but looked fully recovered on Sunday. He will look to carry his solid play into the team's upcoming matchup versus the Seahawks.

Woodyard (illness) fully participated in practice Thursday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

EDGE Analysis

The illness seems to have not been too serious after Woodyard did not participate in Wednesday's practice. The 31-year-old looks like he will be ready to go for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.

Woodyard recorded eight tackles (five solo) and a sack in Sunday's opener against Oakland.

EDGE Analysis

Woodyard tied with safety Kevin Byard for the team lead in tackles while playing 50 of 66 defensive snaps. Fellow inside linebacker Avery Williamson was on the field for 43 defensive snaps, suggesting the two will see a similar amount of playing time in Tennessee's 3-4 scheme. The 31-year-old Woodyard has twice recorded at least five sacks in a season, so it wasn't surprising to see him take down quarterback Derek Carr behind the line of scrimmage in this one.

Woodyard signed a two-year extension with the Titans on Wednesday, ESPN's Field Yates reports.

EDGE Analysis

The deal will keep Woodyard in Tennessee through the 2019 season and allows him to earn upwards of $12.75 million across that time span. While the Kentucky product's 57 tackles from this past season pale in comparison to his numbers from 2014 and 2015, Woodyard still finished as the Titans' fourth-leading tackler and should continue to operate as one of the team's top defensive contributors for the foreseeable future.

The Titans have signed Sean Spence to compete with Woodyard and Avery Williamson at the inside linebacker position, the team's official site reports.

EDGE Analysis

Spence is a special-teams standout who has also started 13 games over the past two seasons, making him a viable alternative should either of Tennesee's 2015 starters at the position struggle early in the new campaign. Woodyard should slot in ahead of Spence on the depth chart if he can stay healthy, but the veteran linebacker can't afford a dip in level at age 29.

Woodyard recorded 10 tackles (eight solo), a sack, a quarterback hit, and two tackles for loss in a losing effort against Miami on Sunday.

EDGE Analysis

Woodyard played very well, but sadly the same could not be said about most of his teammates on either side of the ball. He'll look to continue his personal strong play against the Falcons next week, and hopefully the rest of the Titans will follow suit.

Woodyard (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Bengals.

The ankle injury didn't prevent Woodyard from practicing this week, so he'll more than likely start at one of the inside linebacker spots for the Titans. Woodyard has collected 10 tackles and a sack over the Titans' first two games.
