Crawford logged a sack for the third consecutive game in Sunday's win over the Redskins.

EDGE Analysis

Crawford had three tackles (two solo) in the contest. His season tack total is now up to four, and he will look to carry that momentum into Week 9. The 28-year-old was on the field for 36 defensive snaps (61.0 percent), which should be about normal going forward.

Crawford had two solo tackles, one sack and one fumble recovery Sunday against the 49ers.

EDGE Analysis

Crawford now has a sack in two consecutive games, giving him a season total of three. However, having only 10 tackles (seven solo) through six games keeps him from being a viable IDP option for the time being.

As expected, Crawford (ankle) was able to fully participate in Wednesday's practice.

EDGE Analysis

Crawford suffered a lateral sprain early on in camp, which subsequently sidelined him for a few weeks. However, the team was hopeful he would be available for Week 1, and barring any setbacks, he is seemingly in line to start at defensive end Sunday night.

Crawford (ankle) will likely be ready for Sunday's game against the Giants, Rob Phillips of the Cowboys' official site reports.

EDGE Analysis

Crawford's return is important for the Cowboys since defensive tackle David Irving (suspension) will not be available for the first game. Heading into his sixth season, Crawford will be expected to be a force as an edge rusher across from DeMarcus Lawrence.

Crawford (ankle) is out of a walking boot, Rob Phillips of the Cowboys' official site reports.

EDGE Analysis

Crawford still isn't practicing but being out of the boot is certainly a step in the right direction. There is no clear timetable for his return so the 27-year-old's status for Week 1 remains cloudy.

Crawford has been diagnosed with a lateral ankle sprain, Todd Archer of ESPN reports.

EDGE Analysis

Crawford was carted off the field during Tuesday's practice, but a subsequent X-ray has cleared him of any sort of break. That said, there's a chance the Cowboys hold him out for the entire preseason to make sure he's 100 percent healthy for the opener, so it will be a situation to monitor over the next month or so. For now, Crawford remains without any sort of timetable for a return.

Crawford was carted off the practice field with a leg injury on Tuesday, Jon Machota of The Dallas Morning News reports.

EDGE Analysis

Crawford was seen with a trainer holding down his right leg as he was carted off the field Tuesday. Though the team has yet to comment on the specifics of his injury it appears as though it may be serious. It's unclear how long he'll be out at this point. For the time being, expect Taco Charlton to see some time with the starting defense while Crawford recovers.

Crawford (shoulder) is expected to return from offseason surgery in time for training camp, Kate Hairopoulos of The Dallas Morning News reports.

EDGE Analysis

Crawford previously stated that he was confident he could bounce back from his injury in 2017, and his return by training camp is consistent with that. The injury only cost him one game in 2016 but he'll look to remain healthy for all 16 games for the upcoming campaign.

Crawford (shoulder) is confident he can bounce back from shoulder surgery in 2017, the Star-Telegram reports.

EDGE Analysis

Crawford, who underwent a procedure on his left shoulder in January, required surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff in his right arm after the 2015 season and came back in 2016 showing no signs of injury. Now having been through the rehab process for shoulder surgery before, the Boise State product is confident he will return in 2017 without an issue. He's less certain where he'll be lining up, however, considering the recent departure of Terrell McClain opens up the door for him to move back inside to defensive tackle.
