Hockenson (ribs) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Hockenson continues to operate with a cap on his practice reps as the Vikings navigate their way through Week 10 prep. A rib issue is to blame, but Hockenson told Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com on Thursday, "That's the plan," when asked about his chances to play Sunday against the Saints. That comment echoed one from coach Kevin O'Connell on Monday, but Friday's injury report will reveal whether or not Hockenson enters the weekend with an injury designation.

Hockenson (ribs) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
In the wake of the Vikings' 31-28 win in Atlanta this past Sunday, head coach Kevin O'Connell told Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune that Hockenson was dealing with an oblique or rib issue. O'Connell also expressed hope Monday that the tight end would be able to play through the injury, according to Goessling. Hockenson is being listed with only the rib issue on the Vikings' official Week 10 injury report, and the tight end will have two more chances to get back to full activity in practice before the team potentially makes a ruling on his availability for Sunday's game against the Saints.

Head coach Kevin O'Connell said Monday that he hopes Hockenson (ribs) will be able to play Sunday against the Saints, Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hockenson was the Vikings' leading receiver during Sunday's 31-28 win over the Falcons, but O'Connell revealed after the game that the tight end was tending to a rib issue. Hockenson is expected to be a limited practice participant to begin the week, but the team hopes that he won't be forced to miss any game action. A better idea of his status should come into focus as the week rolls along.

Hockenson recorded seven receptions on 12 targets for 69 yards in Sunday's 31-28 win over Atlanta. Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell said after the game that Hockenson is also dealing with an oblique/rib issue, Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hockenson had a quiet first half, hauling in only one of three targets for seven yards. However, he came alive as Joshua Dobbs got settled into the game, with two of the tight end's catches going for key first downs and another setting up the game-winning score in the second half. Hockenson has now topped 50 receiving yards in five consecutive games, and it appears that he'll remain productive even without Kirk Cousins (Achilles). However, Hockenson also suffered an oblique or rib issue, so monitoring his status for a Week 10 matchup against New Orleans will be important.

Hockenson caught six of nine targets for 88 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-10 win over the Packers.
EDGE Analysis
The tight end's big day was punctuated by a two-yard TD from Kirk Cousins in the third quarter. Unfortunately for Hockenson and the rest of Minnesota's receiving options, Cousins suffered what's feared to be a season-ending Achilles tear late in Sunday's contest. With Nick Mullens (back) on IR for at least one more game, that will likely leave fifth-round rookie Jaren Hall under center in Week 9 against the Falcons.

Hockenson (foot) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's matchup with the Packers.
EDGE Analysis
Hockenson's availability comes as no surprise after the foot injury cost him just a snap or three during a 22-17 win over the 49ers on Monday. He finished the game with season highs for catches (11), yards (86) and targets (12), pushing his per-game averages up to 6.7 receptions for 55.7 yards. The volume alone makes Hockenson a strong No. 1 tight end for fantasy teams, even with his average depth of target sitting at a career-low 6.3 and his red-zone target share at a surprisingly low 10.5 percent. The latter number will likely rise as the season progresses, particularly given that target-hogging wideout Justin Jefferson (hamstring) will miss at least two more games while on injured reserve.

Hockenson (foot) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Hockenson is managing a foot issue that he sustained in the fourth quarter of Monday's 22-17 win against the 49ers. After sitting out Wednesday's session entirely, he appeared to be moving around OK during the media-access portion of Thursday's practice, according to Alec Lewis of The Athletic. Hockenson has one more chance this week to prove his health before the Vikings potentially hand him a designation for Sunday's game at Green Bay.

Hockenson was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's practice estimate due to a foot injury.
EDGE Analysis
Hockenson hit the sideline for a spell during Monday's 22-17 win against the 49ers due to a foot injury, but after paying a visit to the medical tent, he was able to return to action. Overall, his snap share was a normal 85 percent, and he also set season highs in catches (11), yards (86) and targets (12). The Vikings may just be taking it easy on Hockenson just two days removed from that game, but his status now will need to be monitored closely ahead of Sunday's visit to Green Bay.

Hockenson brought in 11 of 12 targets for 86 yards in the Vikings' 22-17 win over the 49ers on Monday night.
EDGE Analysis
Despite the fact he exited the game in the second half for a time due to a foot injury, Hockenson still finished with a game- and season-high number of receptions, receiving yards and targets. The fifth-year tight end has unsurprisingly seen his involvement rise during the two-game (and counting) absence of Justin Jefferson (hamstring, IR), and Hockenson could be in for another very busy day against the Packers in a Week 8 NFC North road battle.

Hockenson (foot) has returned to Monday's game against the 49ers, Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hockenson had his right foot rolled up on and subsequently limped to the medical tent. However, his return to the game indicates the issue is not serious. Look for him to continue his usual role at tight end assuming he avoids any setbacks.
